I got this [quote from the film ‘Into the Wild] because it basically sums up my feelings towards life, and it reminds me everyday to value the relationships I have.

Burrowing Owl with a Filipino Sun on her chest. Submitted by: Dorothy Santos
My first tattoo. An elephant because i love elephants, they represent luck and wisdom, good fortune, and blessings. they are a symbol of power success prosperity, they are beautiful loyal animals and I absolutley love them. Designs made by me, perfected by my amazing tattoo artist “L” and the number 11 in hebrew is on its chest <3
My best friend and I decided to get ‘matching’ tattoos. So, I started sketching and this is what I came up with. Owls. This is the beginning to our forearm pieces. Of course there’s a long story that goes along with them, but basically, I’m the lock. I keep absolutely everything locked away from people, I don’t trust easily. He’s been the only person to get me to open up, he knows everything there is to know about me and more, he’s my key and always will be.
So, in two weeks we get color and he’s adding a banner with my initials to his. We’re just going to keep adding to this. :]

I designed this tattoo years ago, hoping to one day get it. My bandmate and I both have it (he has it on his other arm). It reminds us of when we first started playing and singing together. Occasionally we would be singing harmony and just drop what we were playing, look at each other, and just break out into laughter. To us it sounded perfect. In those moments vocal harmony corresponded with our lives, and everything else just melted away. This is something I’ll never forget, something I am very grateful for.
